Rehumanize
By discerning and rejecting dehumanizing forces
When Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon, and we saw pictures of Planet Earth from so far, we were in awe at its beauty, its fragility, its inviting colors! From afar, there were no countries, no tribes, no violence, no wars…just blue and green spaces flowing into each other with the white atmosphere above it protecting it gently from a vast dark universe. What a beautiful vision it was to see our beautiful home from so far!
On closer look, the Earth is even more magical- full of beautiful mountains, lakes, forests, rivers and oceans — my most favorite part of Planet Earth. I can stare at the ocean for hours until I feel my cells swaying in synch with the waves.
And then there are all the living beings —thousands if not tens of thousands of species of incredible design and beauty co-existing. They don’t go on killing other species unless they need food, and that is their only goal. I just love their simple, functional way of existing! Going on a safari is still on my bucket list, but even the beauty of an ordinary bird or cat or dog mesmerizes me.
Enter the human being, the supreme of the creation as we were taught. Once you travel around the world, and especially when you live around the world in different places as I did, you are fascinated by the beauty and uniqueness…
